Vykon default is, tridium:niagara for an embedded Jace

Windows based (supervisor, soft jace) would be your windows admin login

Do a serial connection and change it back to this default.

That's what I thought but it doesn't work. They must have changed it.

It is recommended that you change the default user name and password when you commission a Jace. It makes it a pain in the a.ss but it is recommended. There are programs out there that can search for platform IP using key words and if defaults are left as is then unwanteds, is that a word, can cause havoc.

Probably should make it unique per site also. Some prick like me might get access to it and suck out the password you use everywhere.

Same guy different jace. I've got a jace that where the platform defaults were changed and I can log in because my login 'remembers' the password but I don't have it. I can get into the jace but how can I reveal the password? Seems like if I log in I should be able to unhide the password.

    How bad do want it?

On at least a J2, J6 and 403s you can pull out eeprom and its stored in plan text. Of course you need a reader and an adapter for PLCC32.

If you have the info to get into a vykon Jace the previous contractor did not leave the login creds.
