Here in Kentucky it is code that everything is trapped, we had a ton of issues with clogged condensate lines on new systems until we talked to Trane and they pointed this out to us. We had to leave the install book open with the section specifying the non-trapped drain circled in order to pass inspection.

    Great looking work.
Just had a chance to ask my installers about this and they said that when we ran the TAM7/8 to a condensate pump that it would blow water all over the floor because of the positive pressure and we were called on the water on the floor and inspector in our area preferred the trap regardless of install instructors.

Installed a Trane XV20i with matching air handler. Using Trane comfort link controllers 1050 and 1040 for 2 zone system. Can I run a hydronic heating system using the Trane controllers. Also using Trane communicating relay board. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
