    Devonshire direct vent DVF-36

Brother down in Little Rock was wondering about his gas log fireplace with the recent ice storm and possible power outages. He's always been leary of it and never uses it but fired it up to check operation for possible back up heat. No issues that he knows of and it really threw some heat at the living room.

Any known issues with this particular unit? Regular homeowner maintenace that should be performed? Professional maintenance?

Anyone have a manual I could look over?

That vent termination does not look like the one in the installation manual. If it is not approved with this unit, it must be replaced with the one specified for this fireplace. The clearance to an unventilated soffitt is 12"/ 18" for a ventilated soffit for 12" either side of center line. I think this is all custom made and improperly installed. Treat it like a fire & CO hazard until proven otherwise.
