    temperature alarm for walk-in cooler/freezer

last week we lost a lot food products due to the temperature rise inside the cooler and freezer box. the reason was the circuit breaker went bad, both freezer and cooler are in one circuit. is there any product out in the market sells an alarm that goes directly to the beeper or telephone system? thanks for the input.

yes, not sure of the brand but we installed them in rite-aids as a part of the energy management ccd panels. talk to your refrigeration contractor, the cost of a temp alarm is cheap compared to loosing all your food.

Call your existing alarm company & have it added/monitored.
False alarms from bubba blocking the door open during stocking should be expected.
Take your time & do it right!

There are lots companies making products for what you are looking to do

    http://www.temperatureguard.com/vm503.htm check out that link

I have never used this particular product but it claims to do what you want it to, if i were you Ild ask my regular refrigeration guy to set me up with something.

What you want done you should have done by a professional

thermo-simple...... can be a direct replacement for 2" dial thermometer or solar digital. Can be wired or wireless with EMS controller interface or simple dry contact alarm, or dial out device for voice or pager.

What caused the breaker to trip? What size box/comp do you have? Are there separate breakers for each comp at each cond unit? If both comps start at the same time, that might/could trip the main breaker.

The best temperature we install is from American controller in New Jersey this unit is not only refrigerator and freezer alarm it is support 16 sensor this enough for mini market it have LCD displayed that show you the temperature on each sensor you can easily rename the sensor from the website using Smart phone or computer.
the wire connection is in bus configuration so one wire is support all the sensors

This can be Great early problem addiction in commercial refrigerator by installing the censor on the line set and measure the temperature http://www.americancontroller.com

Carel also complies with HACCP for Food Safety Laws.
The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.
