    I'm back Cooler has no high side access but I was adding refrg. To see what happens it was becoming obvious the tube was plugged when it let go now there's way to much refrig.so took some out and it worked fine for a while then did it again so I evacuated well and added a filter drier so far so good.

    Good article but use nitrogen, not air for testing cap tubes. Even if the air is super dry, the oxygen in it can oxidize the oil.

    also if you equalized both sides with your gauges then if it was a restriction you would get the "static" u were looking for correct?

    I had a reach in cooler and I was down to "low or restriction"...so i shut it off, pressures very very slowly equalized, i let them equalize thru my gauges and the static actually appeared normal given set conditions. I started her up. Head jumped way up...275 but then suction started dropping..30, 20, 10, 2. and then head came down with it so I'd say this is another good indicator

    This is the type of system you can actually use your subcooling reading to tell you something.
