Confused Tracer TU Trane BACnet service tool UC400

I'm in a real bind here. I'm working on (trying to anyway) a job with UC400 Trane VAV's and I can't get TU to communicate
with the UC400's at all. I'm attempting to connect using a direct connection and USB cable. When trying to connect I get a communication error after a few seconds.

With the BACnet service tool I can connect and download baud changes, but when I attempt to download unit of measure
changes (from SI to standard) I get a communication error.

I have no idea what's going on, any help would be truely appreciated.

    Thanks,

Ok, I downloaded the latest version of the BACnet service tool and now I can download measurement conversions into the UC400, but I still can't connect with TU at all. TU is version 8.2 BTW.

    Is it licensed?

Yup, it won't start unless it's licensed, well, it will launch but you won't get far.

Update, I performed a "repair" of the TU installation and now I can direct connect but still can't connect via the adapter and zone sensor.
I really wish that things would just work sometimes.

Have you tried more than one UC400. I started a job last week with the Trane controls guy and 2 out of 19 UC400s were bad.

Do they have the zone sensor wired to the imc bus? We do not do that locally here so not sure if they do in your area.

This was it, I was attempting to connect with the adapter connected to the BACnet bus because there were no stat drops. It actually says this in the manual but who reads those anymore? I can connect now but the BACnet link pass-through is slow, really slow and I don't read every UC400 on the link.

Anyone know the part# of the Trane BACnet terminator kit?

I just got the software last week, I guess they were getting rid of old stock.
