What is that wedged in between the contactor and transformer preventing it from arcing??
The homeowner did not do this, but he is an electrical engineer and he saw it as soon as i did. He was not happy. Was a 2nd transformer installed to supply pwr for a zone system.

A piece of cardboard looked like the box the Transformer came in. Notice the red wires sticking up, the black ones were at the same height! 2 screws fixed the problem, Not hard.
Dang I have been throwing away great electrical insulators!
Black and White Primary leads are for 120V.
It looks like the contactor is wired for 240V.....

Well his first mistake was taking it out of the box duh, that's the whole reason they come in a cardboard box.
