Turbine Failures

If anyone has any stories to share about component failures or operational problems with equipment at wind farms I'd really like to hear them. I'm also interested in anything on the saftey front at this type of power production site.

Hugh Piggot is the man I have been following and studying his works for over 10 years.

I have been working on the brake drum windmill in my spare time, just for the heck of it.

I like the "vertical axis wind turbine" designs.
There was one that resembled a tulip, but I cannot find it anymore.
I have seen a spiral blade design that looks promising.
