This is what Tesla did decades ago.

The Irish claim to have unlimited free energy

Steorn, an Irish technology development company, claims to have discovered a technology based on the interaction of magnetic fields that allows the production of clean, free and constant energy. In theory, this should be impossible as it breaks the first law of thermodynamics.

Steorn is making three claims for its technology:

    1. The technology has a coefficient of performance greater than 100%.
    2. The operation of the technology (i.e. the creation of energy) is not derived from the degradation of its component parts.
    3. There is no identifiable environmental source of the energy (as might be witnessed by a cooling of ambient air temperature).

Steorn has placed an advertisement in The Economist this week to attract the attention of the world’s leading scientists working in the field of experimental physics. From all the scientists who accept Steorn’s challenge, twelve will be invited to take part in a rigorous testing exercise to prove that Steorn’s technology creates free energy. The results will be published worldwide.

Will the energy lobbies except such a thing? Think of the money that will be lost.

Most likely another free energy scam.

Placed an ad in "The Economist" instead of in scientific or technical publications.... claims scientists have already verified his claims and his machine but wont go on public record...lol

They are looking for investors...they either know the machine wont work or they genuinely think it will but dont have the capital to properly test it.

I think "the amazing randi" has already offered them 1 million for proof it works but Steorn declined....lol

There have been free energy machines in the past and some while quite sophisticated are outright scams...ingenious scams but scams nonetheless....

Many have tried to promote perpetual motion machines ever since Clausius et al figured out what entropy was all about and worked out the fundamentals of the Second Law of thermodynamics.

Ain't ever going to happen. The world just doesn't work that way.

It's amazing this crap still exists today.

Hey, even in the Bond film, "The Man with the Golden Gun", Scaramanga's solex agitator was only 95 percent efficient at converting solar power. If you can't get Hollywood to break the Second Law, or the First Law for that matter, what chance has Steorn?
