Property taxes high because property values are high. Texas is booming.

I have close to a year's experience installing residential HVAC systems. How good do you think my chances are?

I did end up in Texas. Stayed a year or so and came back to Chicago. Too damn hot for my blood. Food was good. Work was plentiful, but I like seasons, and boiler/burner work. Outside of heavy industrial - refineries and chem plants, not much boiler work. And for me, heavy industrial is not ideal work, its good work, just not for me on the daily.
