This a job we did last year. We even painted the slim duct to match the building.

Yes, Heating and Air Conditioning. Thanks for the input, I will try it.
Has anyone had problems recently with the Airtech multivents making a popping noise. We have used these for years, and all of a sudden we did a project and the vents make a popping or clicking noise...
They look like Rhode Island Red Chickens. I used to raise them!
I'm looking at a model offered by my York Source one dealer which has a variable speed fan controller. Keep the replies coming, I am still not sure what I will do yet.
So your saying I need an HRV and not an ERV?
I already considered the whole house dehumidifier, except the water from it will freeze in the attic in the winter. No ductwork in house yet. In floor radiant heat, Can't put ducts through the floor....
I have a customer that called me up. When they built the house they installed radiant heat instead of forced air. The house is now 3 years old, and when the temp gets to about 25*F the windows sweat...
I have never been able to adjust a manitowoc ice machine to Efficiently make cubes only. If you adjust it to make cubes, the top row is hollow, which is also a waste of a cycle to get hollow cubes,...
From a service man's perspective, which do you think is a better machine and why?
I dislike Manitowoc because they make slabs of ice instead of cubes, (That is what holds the door open to stop it)...
Man, I don't know why your complainin'. You don't have to be outside in sun or rain or snow to service them. sheesh!;);:p
What's wrong with that? I see stuff like that all the time.....:D:D
Kinda reminds me of that "pipes" screensaver thing I had on my old computer!
I REALLY wanted to try flat rate. So I called an "unspecified" company and asked if they could send me a sample of what it looked like. They said they could NOT, so I agreed to pay about $150.00 for...
If you wanna dress up the job, I like to go buy a case of rubberized undercoating for cars & trucks and spray the whole curb after it weathers a few months. The weather will wear off the oils etc....
Unit is cooled thru a refrigeration rack, no headmaster, entire rack is clean. I shut down unit when it climbed to 300#, I will go back and do more diagnostics. Did not get superheat etc. Was looking...
Probably water leaking out. Could be weak spring, bad rubber seal, or debris in the seal assy. (Behind the triangular plastic piece near water pump)
Have a ice machine, R-22. Pressures start out at 60 / 275.
They drop to about 40 and 250 and tubes start to freeze. About 20 mins into cycle, head pressure climbs back up to about 300# and...
I was asked the other day, "How much does having central air add to the value of a home?" Is there anyone in the real estate business here that knows? Lets just say we have a home worth $100,000. We...
Your machine got the SPOOKS! I'm staying away:eek:
I would NOT do it. The motor will not run the correct amps and you can burn the motor!
The GURU's are hiding in the Pro section.:D
You have to know what the oil press switch is set at. It has been a while but I think there is a range the pressure has to be between. If it is not, the Heater in the switch activates, and if the...
Also, what are you OIL pressures? If you have a switch, you can put in ports and check oil pressures. This may be the place to start.
Crankcase heater Bad? refrigerant in oil? Seen this happen on A/C units when heater goes bad.
Now that I have not seen before. I have seen tape on wires, but to leave them bare?
What is wrong with that....I have seen lots of those!
OOPS! wrong post!
Change it out and then tear it apart before you send it back. Bad bearing, or crank likely. Loads up and Binds when it gets hot. Are you running POE OIL? Had several do this, I usually rip 'em apart...
Sabotage? Drumming up some side business?
That I how I do mine, however I use Commercial Aluminum downspout which is a little bit bigger. I wonder if they make the Commercial size in Vinyl /Plastic. Or hey, you could save the six bucks like...
I would probably go air then water, this way you can conserve water and only set water valve for when head press is high. Otherwise you would be running water all the time when you could just use...
I guess if they are not using N2, they don't do too many heatpumps. That black scale from inside the pipe will hang up a reversing valve Quicker than flies on shyt!
Now I know WHY tornado's hit trailer parks......to clean up all the bad installs!
Yeah, here we go. Not only was it Sinking into the ground, but he left off all the schraeder caps, notice oil all over, ran an extra t-stat wire which is not used, finished off the drain tubing with...
Yeah, even the HO questioned the contractor, he told him you don't need a pad. Install is about 2 years old. I won't even show pics of inside.
Bronze coat or Husky coat, both for coils. I have a plant that I do work at, the hydrogen sulfide gas will turn a new penny black in 8 hours. It will eat thru the factory silfoss joints of an a/c...
You can drill out the check valve. It looks like he is using it for hydraulic oil storage, probably also has a vent hole drilled somewhere.
I think the guy who did the job took some short cuts. I bid the job to be done from in the basement with all floor grills, would have cut all Tile and Hardwood floors. I guess the attic job was...
Hey IRA, I have whacked a few to reset the overloads in my time.
Buderus!
1) I believe man J will cover it.
2) I always like 2 systems opposed to just 1.
Reasons, If you have one and it breaks, you have no cooling / heating.
with 2 you have 50%, not so bad.
If you...
You will probably need electric baseboard heat even if you add or install new air system, UNLESS you zone the basement seperatly. This is because the basement will get cooler that the rest of the...
Man stay away from the evap change out! It will probably take all day plus. I never worked on that model but I saw one that came in lots of pieces and had to be put togather!!!Pop rivets and all!
I attend the Mfr's seminars. Hoshazaki and Manitowoc both have good ones and usually give out free handbooks specific to each model.
The valve on the jug is usually different. Other than that, NO!
Member of the NRA, with a Big locking fire safe! See ya'll later, going over to surf Archerytalk.com Yeah, I bow hunt too!

Bev air is probably worse, see my post "Bev air Crap"!
I checked your profile and found nothing. You need to fill it out. I checked your posts and saw some ?? that would indicate you are young tech. ( I hope). Seems to me you have a piece of debris,...
