Great idea.
Thanks. I was told I could use oven cleaner from the fellow that retired, but I thought it might be to harsh.
What are you guys using to clean evap coils that have filth stuck on them? Coils near grilles seem to pick up some of that grease from the air and stuff sticks to the coils. It looks like the last...
I ended up buying another pair of keen voyagers. I thought about sneakers but some of our older Mech rooms floor are wet and when checking pump screens water goes everywhere. The he voyagers feel the...
I’ll probably just get another pair of keens. They seem to last.
I need new shoes. I work on a college campus and walk alot and I like using the stairs rather than elevators so I put on the miles. I usually wear keen soft toe shoes but I’m wondering if you guys...
This unit is r290. I did Ohm all 3 sensors with a warm cabinet and at room temperature. All 3 ohmed out at 10.38-10.63. I also increased the temperature from 34 to 36.
It has been running fine. My guess is the staff had it packed blocking airflow or the door was left open.
I’m still getting use to working on this type of equipment. The evap was frozen solid. I forced a defrost and while waiting for the defrost I noticed this unit had no defrost heater. Is this normal....
I do not or need a manifold just a digital gauge, tee and a short hose attached to the gauge.
My goal is to got on the system read the gauge and charge if needed. It wouldn’t be a big deal if I had to open the fieldpiece app, but I would like to hook a gauge and just read it. The YJ 41 series...
If the Wi-Fi goes down then we charge by the old beer can cold methods.
My new job has me working on refrigeration. It’s a university kitchen. Some of the refrigerators and freezers have leaks and need to be charged every so often until they are replaced. They use a...
Thanks for posting. That is the same copy we have. I was hoping to find a more detailed repair manual. It seems this is the only manual available.
Does anyone have a service manual for this dishwasher? I have the owner/operator manual that is found from Jackson’s website.
My set is hanging in my basement. I ordered new temp clamps years ago. As far as I know they still work.
Before I left my previous employer we were scheduled with our Rheem supplier for training on the new equipment. If I remember correctly the new equipment can be programmed with your phone instead of...
I still have this bag. The zippers are holding up. I haven’t used this bag in a while because I bought and was given the veto backpacks. The zipper install takes some time but if you do it right the...
I’m voting no piston. Suction and head pressure are 80-100 psi apart. 0-3 SH and SC. That kinda sounds like a missing piston.
We had a Nortek furnace , a gibson, giving a pressure switch fault code. The guys replaced the switch then the board those parts didn’t fix the issue. One of the guys removed the tstat wires and...
+1 Solder joints on the board
I would be careful putting screens over the vent terminations. If it gets cold enough they could frost over and not allow the furnace to run. I have removed a lot of screens from both the intake and...
I had an 88 code awhile back. I called tech support and they told me that code didn’t exist. I finally got ahold of someone that found the 88 code. We figured out the issue but can’t remember the...
Like some of you I’m trying to down size from a veto back pack to a pouch. I have the tools covered but want opinions on a meter. I have field piece sc460 and some other fieldpiece clamp meters but I...
Is the thermostat set to FAN ON? If it is the fan will continue to run after the ac turns putting all that moisture from the evap coil back into the air.
The collector box gasket has failed or the box is cracked causing all the rust in the cabinet. The drain on the exhaust transition is or was plugged causing the condensate to drain into the inducer....
Did you remove the screen protector?
What?
Is there a negative pressure causing warm humid air to be pulled into the basement through the intake? We install Rheem and I have not seen moisture come down the intake before.
Signed up, thanks
I purchased the h10 pro last week but haven’t had any leak calls yet. Go figure.
I ordered a h10 pro today. We have been going crazy with 410a leaks. I’ll try to report back when I get use to using it.
Great thanks.
Did the adjustment work for you? My detek select died so I need to pick up a new leak detector this week. I work on mostly residential r22 and 410a.
So I was thinking about having the shop order a h10 pro, but seems it is no ether than other at detecting 410a. I watched a couple of YouTube videos comparing it to the fieldpiece slr8. In both...
:grin2:Yeah. It it smells so terrible it HAS to be working
Ok. I always though lines had to be flushed. So just blowing some nitrogen through is good enough? So no burn out just blow it out.
I know our installers will flush with rx11 when a new line set can’t be pulled and going from r22 to 410a. So are you saying there is no need to flush if a line set can’t be replaced. What about the...
Still have mine to
I see it a lot. I stated stocking covers at the shop just I case we have a leaker.
How has this been working out?
Have you had a chance to use it on 410a yet?
When I asked about the rebuild kit and was given a price I just about crapped my pants, but then walked over and bought a new tool for $8 more than the kit. Pulling a good vacuum fast is great but at...
I use the bluvac micro and attach it to one of the side ports of the vcrt. I take the side ports shrader core out of one of the tools and put the micron gauge there.
How long should these things last? I buy 2 new ones every year.
I had a hard time pulling a vacuum yesterday, so I replaced the orings and today I had the same issue. Pick up to more new tools and...
2am the phone rings. " I don't need you to come now, but can you call me later this morning to set up a service call?"
Me: as the top of my head blows through my roof. I reply politely "I can't...
Reversed polarity code could be a bad igniter.
The know how to use a meter and read a wiring diagram will take you very far in this trade. I know the flame sensor is dirty, but varify with my meter. After I clean it I check again. Why not?
I...
I keep a 510 with my CA. the 510 will drift. If it gets tilted while checking pressure your reading will be affected. For a final reading I disconnect the hose from the 510 port and zero it. I also...
I have the field piece kit and used it but mostly when I think there was an Airflow issues and ac start ups. My digicools are the go to and for quick check analog stubbies. I was thinking of...
