Early style Sporlan EXVs on RTAA would do that where the wires go through the body. You can take it apart and tighten the little packing nut and use a little 515 on it.

Just cut it back on both ends and use butt connectors. You can heat shrink them if you want

No your new purge can not connect to the old UCP2 panel. I have not seen a current stand alone Earthwise purge, hopefully it has it's own control.

If the chiller actually did have air in it and leak fixed, 100 minutes doesn't usually get rid of the air. Do at least a 24 hrs bypass

Everything you stated sounds like what you would see if a normal operating purge is on a leaking chiller. What is your 7 day pumpout average or are you having to reset it daily to keep it on?

I've got 3 low pressure chillers with R-11 in them from the early 1990s that still have the original refrigerant charges in them. You won't be able to say that about too many R-134a chillers.
