I’ve installed one. A 5 ton ac. The cabinet is square like a weather king. Spine fin connections inside. Metal base pan and service valves sit flat on the ground. 5 screw quarter panel removal and 8...

This is not a diy site. Sounds like the furnace is working just need to figure out why the cold draft is manipulating the thermostat temperature. I would say just turn it on and off manually till you...

Do you have hot air blowing out of the vents when the heat is on

It’s going to be hard to overcome that Old drafty house. Better to seal up the air leakage and hold the heat in and you will find it easier to manage the humidity

No. Told him to call pest control and have his handy man shop vac it out. Then call me back.

Every time I go to section 8 the house is dark. Heave drapes or comforters on the windows. Try the light switch’s......nothing. Lights never work in low income housing. Lol

This whole neighborhood is a black hole. Mostly section 8. Had a little boy bring me a pack of ramen noodles and ask me to cook them. All of the able bodied adults were laid up in the bedrooms. No...

The rat is still in there saw him moving the pink stuff around after I took the door off. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191112/7573ef658a137fdc3a6d7d5a23543b8c.jpg

If it is an inverter I would say it’s probably a normal sound. Most manufacturers allow the compressor to over speed at lower temperatures to allow full capacity at lower temperatures

Did they pull the inducer motor off to check for obstructions like dead birds or anything

This was a $400k house under contract in Atlanta. Home inspector already gave the ok on everything and recommended an hvac company service it.

I’ve done combustion analysis on an induced draft furnace laying on its back. Seems to run just fine. I know it’s not a manufacture approved installation but what are the implications of leaving...

Speechless [emoji55]. What are the reasons for choosing different manufacturers are you doing this to fit a budget

You are correct that is the builder grade carrier the only difference between that and the standard comfort series is the chicken wire shroud around the outside and the metal cabinet is thinner also...

Well made or well installed? Looks like crap to me but that’s an opinion.

Going through so many fuses is only a sign of inexperience. Hardly any evidence that you are owed any freebies

My set up is similar. All you need is an over the shoulder electricians pouch. Preferably leather

Fix the rat problem. The 5 amp fuse did not cause the board to fry
-
That’s besause you’re a real workin man.
-
Why do you think this is? This is across the board. How are they being trained? I have guys wanting a job to be my install specialist and want $30+ an hour that do work a 5th grader could do better.
-
Looks great. So why shorten the higher tonnage to just add a base anyways trane?

sh? Sc? Oat? Idwb? Coil m#?

So that’s what the circles in the bottom molding is for. [emoji41][emoji848]

How in the world do you bend black iron. Is that soft copper? And if it is how do you get it so straight?

I don’t see in his original post anywhere saying anything about 1000cfms of duct. Where is this

I like it when we wrap the duct first. Webbing seems to feel better against the insulation. Time will tell and if need be I will replace at no cost to the HO as long as I’m alive

Yes I do worry about that so we at the very minimum triple fold the nylon with two screws this is a preventive maintenance customer so we shall see I only have a couple jobs out there with nylon...

If you run the strut long ways like he is saying the doors don’t hit anyways but I like the iso pads to get the air handler up so you can at least seal the return without the strut being flat up...

Good point. Next time I hang one I shall Do that and call it the albert pujols method. Lol that’s what I say in my head when I see your username. Thanks for the tip all joking aside.

I knew you would say that. I saw your post on the other thread. Only reason I don’t is the stinkin screws in the furnace always gets in the way. When I do air handler is I always do like you said
