Be careful. The glow coil power often had a hidden resistor in the line. Applying 24V direct to the coil will destroy it in seconds. You'll see a puff of smoke. Don't let the smoke out!

Is there a decent solution for this? 866573
Sounds reminiscent of the Carrier 5-wire valve, but I have never seen something like you're describing using 120V power. Maybe some obsolete technology. Dayton would often use a manufacturer's brand...
I will play with it some tomorrow. I downloaded it but the meter is in the truck and I'm in my skivvies.
I will look into that in the meantime. I'm wary of apps that want access to contacts, location and other stuff.

I just found this thread. I received the Supco iDVM550 today. I went to download the app and it says the app cannot work on my android phone because the version of my phone is too new.
I find that...
Finally getting the picture posting thing arranged and sorted. The first time I had to deal with those surround blockades was a pain in the ass.
They installed them with the wrong hardware/mounts....

Thank you. They seem to be stand alone with neither thermostats nor BAS, Just 100% OA with constant DA setpoints. We'll see where we go from here.
This is in a public funded SRO low income housing....
I have a customer with three Carrier RTUs that have been converted to 100% OA MAU for a building corridors and a laundry room. My initial check found the two corridor units had the OA dampers...
My company has a new account with three of the Carrier/iAIRE units, stand alone MAU. One of the units has a mechanical failed compressor that sounds like the scroll is destroyed. The extreme...
Check check, 1 2 check. Is this mic on?
I have had the code 9 caused by a fickle limit. The SPDT limit would wobble in the air flow and open occasionally. A new limit fixed the issue.
Hey it works

I'm still trying to figure out how to attach pictures. Can you help? I log on from my PC, not cell phone. Do I have to host the pictures on a photo host site?

I wonder why they used such a tall transition and then had to re-install the screen. You can't see the RTU from the ground...well, maybe now you can. This was on a building next to the one we were on...
I like the dry lube aerosols for dampers as the wet lubes hold the dirt in the pivots and cause erosion. But the hospitals/aerosols is a valid point. There may be other exceptions in the industry.
I have used it on a 1.5 HP condenser motor on a 15 ton RTU. It worked fine. That's why the bore is 5/8 to accept the larger motor shafts. (The pictures of the motor with the black shroud on the left)...
I had a customer at a plant that has a lathe make this for me. I call it The Fan Dangler. It uses a piece of Unistrut, a section of 3/8" threaded rod, a wing nut and a washer. The custom piece has...
That was a learning experience! LOL
There's actually a YouTube video in two parts. How to pump down and change the filter but it doesn't cover the regulating valve.
If you still have that procedure send it on over. I am going to look at an RTAC140 tomorrow, circuit 1 low oil flow.
The company I work for, Stingray Mechanical, is looking for a service technician
Experience is a must but not the end-all. We service commercial, industrial and institutional system.
We avoid...
Just changed a dynaview yesterday. No way to update the starts and hours? My rs232 cable took a crap while doing the job but I was able to get the model number in and it uploaded all setpoints. I had...
Trying to find the picture again....
Thanks. I found the tech and install manuals but no diagrams. I worked on these types of units many years ago but you definitely need the diagram. Thank again.
I have a D1SS120 that has no diagram. Anything would help. Need to get at least 1/2 of it running until we can get a new unit up there. Vintage 1984

Yes, that's it. I understand now that the diagnostic is not only if you have a wired thermostat.
The job site service call was a favor for a company that we do business with.
This is not out normal...
The app does not support the unit so that was a bust. The service manual indicates a bad board. This customer will not invest money into the unit for an expensive repair so They may just buy a...
Thanks. Just downloaded the app for troubleshooting.
My customer has a Fujitsu ASU36CLX1 indoor unit, AOU36CLX1 outdoor unit. The indoor blower comes on but no cooling.
Lights on the unit are as follows

A: I knew I had the wrong board right away. I suspected it was wrong before I got to the job.
B: They said that there are a number of boards available for these units and they need the...

Update: The pump was the problem. I was sent the wrong circuit boards so that was actually good that I did not replace them. Would have been under 5 year warranty anyway.
The pump was installed...
L2 is 230V so they have the pump break the S line.

Yeppers!
I have the lit for the pump, it does have a safety that interrupts the S wire. The manual seems to suggest that the pump itself should be outside the unit with the sending/safety device inside....

Milwaukee makes a nice one.
On/Off, nothing fancy. Takes two AAA batteries, lasts for at least a week or two.

We installed isolation valves already. It's 4" CPVC pipe. We're going to try and backflush, then Rydlyme if the backflush doesn't work. No promises to the customer.

I have a customer with a York W1LC420 chiller. The evaporator bundle is plugged. There is a new flow switch. It will not close. This is a glycol chiller, chills glycol for their process equipment....
I have an old Trane RTAA200 with CHHB100 screw compressors. One of the compressors has a bad check valve. When the compressor shuts down the HP side blows through the compressor rotating it backwards...
Reference pictures above: My customer has boiler and a reset zone. The OA temp sensor reads -95°. I set the reset schedule up so now they're getting heat. The zone to the radiators also has a bad...
