Appion has said they verify vacuum test every core tool before it goes out. Seems like a job for somebody with a bunch of patience. Wonder if they are doing anything like that with the Fieldpiece.
They are advertising it's use to see if the core actually grabbed on the plunger before you bother valving off and unscrewing the plunger.

Did you look at the red sensor eyes with your phone camera? In a dark area you can see them glow like headlights if there is no UV lens on the camera.

Is the ice deflector that spans the drop zone and holds the bin sensors straight and aligned in place? Are there bright lights on around the machine and the panels off?
Might try wiring parallel to another battery for a little bit before putting on the charger. It a possible fix I seen on fully drained drill batteries that wouldn't charge. Check YouTube for more...

The design has more to go wrong and has to be on a miniature scale to fit in that tip. Would be hard to pull off for sure.
