It's not hard to fully diagnose cylinder walls and rings and main bearings. Takes less than 20 minutes except on the 2 stage compound comps. Then if everything checks out, I have had good success...

I hate racks with scrolls. Semi hermetic all the way for reliability. Unless you want burned oil and unserviceable compressors.

The sporlan drier box has a chart printed on it with the refrigerant capacity of the drier for common refrigerants.

SC56 was the last really good field piece meter. I am completely back to fluke now

Yes, it will work no doubt. The main place I use the h10 anymore is in open cases that get a lot of dilution from the ambient air.

Don't expect to trust the temperature readings

I do like the stratus for contaminated environments like a machine room, much easier to zero in on a leak than trying to interpret the tick rate.

The H10 pro is much more sensitive to leaks than Stratus. I have both and have compared them side by side on quite a few leaks.

Especially if there is any air flow or wind, the stratus will stay...

The Trublu hoses are awesome. I was pulling new systems on a remodel in 20 minutes. We are talking 300+ ft of 1 5/8 suction 7/8 liquid with 19 doors of case down to 500 microns and hold for 1 hour....

I have 2 sets which is usually enough.

Also an assortment of hoses so I can charge, pump oil etc without using the manifolds.

Don't you guys have the customer pay for parts?

407a is an r22 replacement, I would not use it to replace hp80 unless you want to replace all txv powerheads.

404a would be a better option.

Ran into some techs who had the sporlan pro R. They loved it for market work. Temp and pressure sensors are very expensive.

No, the hold back valve is in the liquid line between condenser and receiver, not before the condenser.

The only time you will have a pressure regulator in the discharge line is for hot gas...

So if adjusted this way you basically have constant fan on. If hold back is at 180 your discharge will never fall to the fan cut out pressure.

Usually they are stubbed in deep so they are pulling refrigerant vapor from the top of the horizontal header. That way the header can act as an accumulator.

I would get the model number off that scroll and look up the Copeland AE bulletin for it. That should tell you if and how it can be applied to a parallel rack. Obviously needs to have an oil float...

Shouldn't be a problem to add that scroll. I might consider adding a check valve in the discharge line because sometimes the internal ones fail.
