Piston probably in backwards or missing.

It's probably the defrost termination stat preventing it from going into defrost. It has to be open before defrost will initiate. Does it have a 3 wire one?

I'm sure that what AHS bought. Notice no new elbow or stand.

It's nice having a dual compressor unit. Because if one goes out the other still works and you still have a/c. Of course you need a little bit of skill to make that happen.:grin2:

To clarify -The motors aftermarket. The wheel was OEM.

The center concave plate is the only thing that rotated. Set screw still tight on the flat part of the shaft. Nothing wrong with the motor. Still works. No damage.

Anyways it sounds to me like you need to get your velocity's down. Install a second return and add additional supply or supplies a you may get your 72° when it's 118° out.

It'll never come to that as i have returned several of their leakers with dye all over them and they gave me a new coil every time.

I don't see how Trane could void a warranty on a leaky coil that's proven to leak by dye. Seriously. are they kidding and want to be sued.

Amazing how some units will develop tube-sheet leaks on the condenser. And others in the same lineup and brand won't. Is that a QC issue at the factory level or maybe a shipping and handling issue?...

No, they all get the sniffer first. If i don't get a hit. In goes the dye. These are systems with low charge. Flat systems don't get anything until leak is found and fixed.
