I’ve always used JB & prefer the 7cfm unit, but now I think the Field Piece vacuum pump is the Best out there. It’s a little big, but the function, operation, and features.

I agree with RoBoTeq, that almost any new modern equipment is decent, as long as it is installed and commissioned correctly!
As for me I sell Goodman/Amana/Daikin and Lennox.
As for mini-splits I...
My friend has the Testo Set and we used them side by side, he liked his Testo's and preferred the YJ's. The whole complaint about the temp clamps being wire to the refrigerant sensors is mute, like...
Does anyone have a contact # to Copeland, or a way to bypass Emerson without emailing them
" Good Lord, that must be the oxymoron of the decade. "
Every brand has their issues and quirks.
Personally I love my HE Dave Lennox signature series equipment. Since 2010 up, especially since...
Again I have more service call and failures from certain brands than others. I've only been doing this for 10 years and I've not heard this kind of knocking on both start up and shut down on a unit...
The HO wasn't complaining, until he was out there standing next to me while I just "checking" the system. Again it's bothering me more than him. It might just be my OCD kicking in!!!
The first thing I did was to measured the lra and then I added a 5-2-1. Which reduced the lra by 35%, but the compressor sounds the same. I think it's best if I can get ahold of Copeland. The unit is...
Okay, leaving out the brand names of equipment and focusing on the part that is the issue, does anyone have a contact number to Copeland tech support?
Do you guys recommend contacting Copeland regard their noisy compressor, because Rheem's customer service is pretty much non-existent. I don't want to replace the compressor for if it's normal and I...
Okay, I'm sorry for blaming a brand by name, but that's the band I'm looking at. So do low end Copeland scrolls nock on start up and shutdown.
I know you don't like them but I almost only sale mid...
By the way most NM homes are slab on grade with the furnace and Evap coil in the middle of the house in a closet and Condenser outside on at ground level. This is the3rd summer now with this system...
Okay, I've read 11 pages and I have learned a thing or two! The reason I came to this post is because I have a friend that asked me to look at his system, a Rheem 13AJN60A1. This unit knocks and...
Every make and model has different ratings for superheat and sub-cool. Goodman single stage 13-16 seer condensers are 7-9 SH & SC. These #'s are based on using all Goodman matching equipment. I agree...
I have 2 individual units 67003.
Likes: individuals, screen shots, easy to use, accurate, and long battery life
Dislikes: the limited app, not auto re-connect, short Bluetooth range, the boots...
So what is the conclusion with this machine, buy or pass up?
I've been wondering about the lte for awhile but can't find anyone that has used it in the field. I like Yellow Jacket tools I'm just...
I've always had issues with making the 1/4 flare with this tool too,
It's been hit or miss. The rest of the sizes I've never had a problem and it is my favorite flare tool.
I would call or go by. If your motivated to work and learn, you shouldn't be sitting around waiting for the work to come to you, go out and find it.
Also ask around as to which companies are better...
I would replace it, caps are cheap and like the previous post, I would find the source of the white powder.
Also on smaller motors I have seen plastic run caps
Go for the SMAN 460 and get the job link. The spd2 and the 460's communicate together and job link can store the info. I love my sman's
One tool that I carry in my pocket in the Knippex offset long nose multi pliers. Most of my hand tool are Klein Jouneyman. As for pump action pliers I'll stick with the channel locks, I have, and...
I use the uni-bit tools with the 1/4" drive to put right in my impact driver. They last a long time even with heavy use. The 90 degree welding magnets and magnetic parts trays are good to.
I do the same Samgevas and jump the proper 24v, but If either the motor or the module base are bad I replace the entire motor. The system needs to be checked as to why the motor or base failed.
That's the main reason I use the benders; the fewer solder joints the better, smoother longer radius 90's, and No kinks!!! I also use swage joint not coupling, again 1 joint instead of 2.
I've...
Definitely the YJ with outside binder kit. As stated above use a Little oil on the 7/8 and the bends will come out beautiful.
When Hilmor first released most of there tools I bought them. The only...
Both my torches and my Nitro have gauge protectors. The torch gauges stay on the bottles and I remove the nitro regulator every time and store it in a crate
Has anyone bought and used the Yellow Jacket YJ-LTE?
What do you guys think of it? How does it compare to the Appion?
I want to know if anyone has tried the Yellow Jacket YJ-LTE?
I use the Appion G5's but I don't like that the ports are angled down and so low that the hoses are almost kinked into the ground.
I have a tool addiction. I own use primarily 3)JB's 1-5cfm & 1-7cfm s/s, & a 10cfm. I also own a YJ bullet, an Appion tez8, a Robenaire 6cfm blue handle. All of them work good when you use the Appion...
By the way I own and use the Fluke : 87v, 902, and 376. I still prefer the Fieldpiece SC56 and trust in it. I own at least 15 different meters and carry at least 3 at all times. As I stated earlier,...
I have purchased and used at least 10 major brands of dmm's and clamp meters, but my go to meter is the Fieldpiece SC56!!! It reads volts and amps at the time, the temp sensor can be calibrated, and...
The High side Dodge Sprinter was and is nothing more than a re-badged Mercedes van, which by the have been in use all over the world for years. The biggest problem is when you have people, employees...
A far as hvac vehicles go I've driven 3/4 ton Ford, Dodge, and Chevy vans. All have been fine but never enough room. Once I went to the Dodge Sprinter I knew that I didn't want to go back to a...
I drove a 2015 V-6 Eco boost, the higher style you could stand in. I ordered the dual Prime Design ladder rack, 1 for the extension and a dual that held 2 A frames, a 12' & 8'. They are hydraulic and...
I've been reading hvac talk for years, yet I never post. It's like listening to talk radio and not calling in. This topic and the way techapparent96 first posted got to me, he's right! People do...
