Im curious if you replaced the transport tube and solved the problem.

I remember reading something in the past about transport tubes wearing out inside and the ice does not have a smooth path causing ice to jam and tripping over load.

I've used citric acid (in granular form) on bigger ice machines that have cylindrical evaporators . I believe follet ice machines recommends using citric acid.

I' ve seen this b-4, the roofers flip the p-trap to stop the water from dripping on the roof when the line is not complete. If the drain line would have been complete the roofers would not flip trap.

I guess it depends on the unit. I've seen units with the same solenoid valve that are over 20 yr old and some that are replaced every couple years.

I would call traulsen tech sup with mod and s/n of unit to verify what compressor needs to be there and what refrigerant they recomend. I normally will use mp 39 with good success.
