That's a good idea with the waiver. I'll make sure to put that in my bid. I think the wet cloths will be the best way. I'm afraid to even touch those things.
The building owner will not do a shut down, it has to be live at all times.
Hey,
I have a job coming up and I will be working pretty close to fire sprinklers with a Torch. What do you do to protect the head from getting bumped into or getting too hot? I get real...
They have so many safeties built into them that they really can't and shouldn't be overridden. Ditto to previous posts about locking them out.

Distech also wasn't big in our area and the contractors who installed could've been hacks for all I know

When I was in controls sales the field techs did nothing but complain about distech controllers. Of course we were changing the JACE over to HW or JCI and inevitably had to replace the distech...
Stay away from distech (from my experience) I'd recommend Johnson Controls FX series (different from Johnson's OEM line) or Honeywell WEBS.

The State of Florida frowns upon "Absintee Qualifiers" I was told that it is illegal when I took my licensing class. I do not where it is written in the statue.
I am bidding a job where I have to replace a bunch of 18-6 thermostat wiring. I have to connect about 300 new cables to existing wiring. Other than wire-nuts, inline connectors, and/or electrical...

Fill a pump sprayer with hot water. Spray the coils as the fan runs. Or buy coil de-icer spray at the supply house.
