Does anone have information/feedback on a Rheem 16 Seer RA1624AJINA and Rheem Air Handler RH1T2417STANJA. I received a recent quote however a little hesistant after reading consumer reports ...Rheem was on the lower rating scale.

Consumer reports, or any consumer review, is absolutely worthless when rating hvac equipment. Consumers are so focused on brand names they forget that your air conditioner is being constructed IN YOUR HOME, rather then in the sterile confines of an assembly plant.
The ratings you read mean absolutely nothing. And shouldn’t be used to make any kind of decision.
ok, good to know...this is first time we needed to replace the unit...there's so much to learn. Thanks for the feedback.
What probably killed Rheem's ratings was the huge number of copper tube coils that leaked. All brands had problems, Rheem seemed to have the most. Before that fiasco, Rheem was highly rated. The coils now are all aluminum like everyone has done. As long as you have a good contractor, you'll be fine. We had a RA1630 go in yesterday.
