Found out today that Zoomlock evidently had a falling out with their fitting producer. Look up Zoomlock max and you can see they now take a different set of jaws. The old fitting are still being produced and this is what is bad about the press fittings. Which will you be able to buy quickly and locally in the future? Personally, press has its place but I feel sweat joints look better if your good with a torch. Either water or refrigerant, press just looks like it came from a Lego set.
Not having to purge is huge
The clean look of press tools is a big seller when it comes to impressing your clients as well. Worth the investment to make the job easier in my book - Good luck!

Usually used for installs to save time on larger jobs. Have been reliable so far. Service guys have started using them if their companies already have them. Fitting costs are outrageous. I can install faster, cheaper and more reliably using regular old fashioned fittings, staybrite 8 and braze rods (installation specific uses)
I would say one con could be any knuckle head can get their hands on one and not use it correctly and cause leaks. But that already happens with brazing anyway. The upfront cost of one these machines is pretty expensive they are around 3k if I remember correct also the fittings are pretty expensive as well. But I would argue that you would make your money back over some time using it. pros: They are much faster. Looks cleaner. no need to flow nitrogen. No need for fire spotter if you are in a confined space. I am sure there are more I just rambled off a few.
