A piece of fruit, mixed nuts, and something else. Could be leftovers or what ever. I always pack a lunch. Even if only for health reasons.

Well this thread has been going awhile started in 2014.
Personally I either stop at a restaurant or if I'm near the house working alone I call my wife and say I am going to be home in a few minutes what's for lunch. [emoji16]

I usually skip lunch and concentrate on brekkie and supper. A couple apples, oranges, bananas or other fruit are easy to pack for a midday snack to hold me over, along with coffee. Sometimes pack a salad

You could try rolls or wraps. YouTube will give you unlimited recipes as well.

I was on the road to many many miles in NJ and when my dispatches came at nite I would plan a sandwich spot that was a good deli. Sometimes nothing good along the way. Now I'm off the rode in a school system and eat at the same Italian buffet every day

Healthy lunches are great for keeping your energies up and avoiding late-afternoon tiredness. These recipes also delight with fantastic flavours and colours.

I make my own trail mix so I can control what's in it and eat that with some fresh fruit. Colder times I'll do soup and things in a thermos. A hot lunch makes you feel so much better and refreshed than a cold sammy. You could put other things in it like meat balls then bring a roll and bam you got a hot meatball sub!

If I get to eat, I usually will have a handful of spinach, some grilled chicken breast, mushrooms, olive oil, seasoning.
Stay away from things that will go bad quickly if warm. Never any onions (raw) fastest at growing bacteria and will get you sick if not refrigerated properly.
Protein Shake in the morning and late afternoon.
Stays light and I don't get the food coma issues.

The only thing I microwave is my pork just read the pork thread. had to.

I stand on my original statement:

"pretty much anything that is supposed to be microwaved is gross"

For the life of me, I can't imagine why.

I mean, I'd eat just about anything if I was starving. But to eat those things by choice? I don't think so. It's painfully obvious why health care costs are what they are; people aren't smart enough to know what is good for them.
