Could be many things.

Keep small problems small. Let a pro look over the whole thing. Save ya big time in the long run.

Sounds like you need to get it cleaned and safety checked by a pro and think of your families safety.

Thanks for replying Ga/oh/man: yea I never thouht about cleaning the inside of it, I looked down in it, checked the pores no rust, solid blue flame. For your question its a kenmore high efficiency 5000 and takes a 14x20x1 filter I just bought the house And never had vented furnaces before I always worked on water boilers, radiators, base board. I'll check into the sensor . seems like thats more probabale And will get back to you.

Hi everyone glad to be a new member to this forum even though hvac is not my field I could help out on the many questions asked about. But the problem im having is that my furnace is producing heat for about ten seconds then shuts down. about two seconds after that. its begins to click continously until the heat kicks back on . it then repeats the shut down process all over again. Is it the thermostat? or is there enough gas going to it. or something more serious . thanks if you could help .
