If you use the quote button it puts the quote in a box that makes it clear that it is a quote.... for what it is worth...

It seems I am running into this issue as well with new windows 10 laptops. I can get the MAP tool to work on windows 7. It seems something in windows 10 is not letting me connect to the MAP wifi, it redirects me to the same msftconnecttest.com/redirect that OP was getting. Is there any known issues with windows 10 that you know of? Yes there is. the windows 10 drivers don't work with the map. you need to use an older wifi adapter with it. here is what I use https://www.amazon.com/Edimax-EW-781...3363268&sr=8-4

Is there any known issues with windows 10 that you know of? Yeah the entire maptool is a steamy pile of overpriced crap. Hours messing with these things, and I have two that will work on my Win10 machine. Make sure up to the latest firmware. 5.0 I think is the latest. Think there was issues with certain WIFI- chipsets in some machines? I can't run two WIFI connections at once on my machine or the map won't work. If I use a usb adapter specifically for the map, and leave my internal wifi on it will never work? Immediately when I shut off the internal it will connect and work ok. I really have better things to focus on than this heap of pooh, so not sure what is the issue with two wifi connections.

You should be able to connect with your phone at least. We have been seeing allot of issues with windows 10. The USB is used to connect to it via the MUT tool, which is how you upgrade it to ver 5.0. I would try resetting it to factory defaults. It seems I am running into this issue as well with new windows 10 laptops. I can get the MAP tool to work on windows 7. Are you trying to connect to a VMA, FEC?
has anyonedid a full factory reset on the map gateway and now cant login to the mapgwy.com after connecting to wifi? I don't have the quick start sheet that came with the map anymore and I cant get into mapgwy.com.... any suggestions that I can try?
BAD MTOOLs* is what I meant. RMA both.
BAD CONTROLLERS.. RMA both per JCI Tech Support.

We use the same default passwords for the Wi-Fi passphrase and Admin password. For example look for the E and the MAC address, so E 50-8C-B1-22-BD-52 becomes Map-22BD52. The approved web browsers Windows® Internet Explorer® 10 and Windows Internet Explorer 11, Apple® Safari® 6.1 and later, and Google® Chrome™ The MAP is factory reset (multiple times). A new tidbit of info. Went to a different facility, a computer and phone, tried both map tools, same issue, connects to the wifi connection, but will not load mapgwy.com or utilizng IP. Still can't get the MAP to load its 'home page'. About to send these back for new ones.

The ONLY way to connect to a device for programming a Johnson FEC from the time they came out until about 2016 was a bluetooth dongle. (aside from tunneling down a supervisors connection, of course). This was a problem on dept of defense sites that had a firm ban on anything wireless... Plugging in is an afterthought.
