I have using a Testo analyzer for years. Their product has been very reliable. Only issue I had was repairs. I sent a meter back twice because they didn’t fix it properly. I was also missing an extra battery on return.

Have a set of 550 within first 6 months had to send them in for valves leaking by. Now my temp clamps are acting up seems like something to do with the pins I’ll get weird readings untill I fiddle around with the plug. My sman had for going on 5 years hook is broken but still work.

Good thing is most manufacturers learn from their mistakes. I remember not so long ago some supply houses wouldn't carry digital gauges. Too much trouble. Like the first computer.

I have a set of Testo 0563 0002 Refrigeration Wireless Smart Probe Set and have had no problems at all with them. I do not use them or any gauges heavily.

I bought the very first version of the 550 and it didn’t do so well. So I went to Digi-Cool and never looked back.

But it some of the guys where I work have them and seem to be fine. I will probably pick up a 549 soon as a backup set to my trusty DC1250. I certainly would buy the testo sooner than the sman.

    Testo Quality

How bad is the quality of testo digital gauges or products in general? I have heard some not so good things from a supply house, well he said they were the most brought back item for service compared to FP and YJ.. Anyhoo's what are your experience with them including their support?
