I do carry a lot of stuff in the cab but i'm trying to be smarter about it with this truck. It's amazing the things I found as I cleaned out the cab of my old truck. Bought an organizer/mobile desk for my passenger seat. Still perfecting keeping it organized as well but definitely a useful investment.
Must be nice.

As long as you get it set up so you can do all your install and service work and carry what you need nothing wrong with a truck. Take good care of this one maby DAD will buy you a brand new one in a few years
The side compartments have sealed 60" led bed lights in them, only cost about $23 on Amazon. The interior has 6 led marker lights and 2 led license plate lights mounted above the back door. Also all from Amazon, bought a 20 pack of the marker lights for I think $14-15. 40' of 18 gauge wire and a pack of plugs to make change out easier if ever necessary. Soldered into the +/- for the trailer plug with some 12 gauge. All in, materials i'm probably around $100 but the split loom was all free, a customer gave it to me a few years ago. The switch bank was also of course from Amazon. Have an extra switch for something else I haven't decided what, maybe a small inverter, but it has a cigarette lighter port and 2 USB adapters already in it.
What'd you use for lighting? That looks great.
Clean looking trucks , lighting on those is nice good job.
New truck About a month ago my former truck left me temporarily stranded on the highway 2 days in a row, in the exact same spot. So we went in search of a replacement. It had been having a lot of electrical issues for some time now and with the busy schedule, disconnecting the battery every night became the quickest easiest solution that just never got resolved. Now there are transmission issues that may or may not be electrical as well. Anyways, enter my "new" to me 2011 GMC Sierra 1500. The thing is in great shape and the deal was too good to pass. Took a downgrade from a 1 ton to 1/2 & 8' down to 6 1/2' bed. The one in front is mine, in back is my dad's. I'm sensing a company truck platform in the works. Haha. Wired up all the lighting myself. Still a work in progress. A lot has changed since I took these pictures a couple days ago. Added some e track inside for versatile storage options. Going to order a refer rack to clear up floor space and hunting for another pack rat or similar unit to increase my parts capacity. Thoughts and ideas are very welcome as I try to adjust.
