I have a regulator on a nitrogen bottle I set it for 50 psi and tested my 2 sets of gauges, and my gauges I use for ice machines (no hoses), I also tested a electronic super heat tester that I have..

One set of gauges with hoses read 54/50
The other read.............................55/50
low side ice guage.........................55
high side ice guage........................Broke, didn't read anything.
elecrtonic gauge...........................49.3

Seems the low side gauges are 4-5 psi off..is this normal?? If I buy new ones any chance they will read the same 4-5 psi off??

whats the best gauge I can buy?

Fieldpiece 4-Port Wireless Digital Manifold w/ Vacuum Gauge and Clamps ... If you want a new manifold guage set this would be the ultimate one to get. Does everything you will need and more. The only thing wrong with this is that its price is a little steep. SheperdEHC

Just get these and put them in a padded gun box.

You sure?

870 psi .5% could be worse than what he's got straight out of the box

Most good digitals use an appropriate range for low side measurements like 200 psi .5%

well i fully expect this to evolve into a testo/feildpiece/digicool digital gauge debate...

so i'll start, get the AK900 from UEI, the kit is a great value when you take the clamps into account, very accurate as itsiceman says

Could be the high side gauges and your "electronic" are off.
That is out of the range of a standard analog high side gauge and you can expect them to read a little off. From the consistency of the low side readings if you toss out the electronic it looks like you have some good readings. Have you tested with a pt chart yet to see what is reading correct?

They aren't cheap, but I really like the bellow type aluminum gauges from Refco. I never looked back at the rest. I do know that the regular stuff in the parts house is not usually class one, and there is a margin of error across the gauge scale.

Once you go electronic your never go back to Analog again, unless they malfunction. I have Testo backups though the numbs are a little small though.
