Agreed!

It's just like caulking.

Just don't try and smooth it out with your finger. :D

...NEVER mig weld galvanized metal indoors..

Or weld it with ANY process, without adequate ventilation.

Lead & zinc fumes cause all kind of problems.

Only tip I can give you is when you're finishing a bead, zap your end crater about three times to fill it. Prevents a weld crack.....Had school but it was mid- ninetys, and I've drank alot of beer since then.

yea but a real welder can tig......overhead!

Mig weld galv sheetmetal with silicone bronze with plenty of wind to blow the fumes away or vent to suck the fumes away

Oh yea , and say hi to that monkey for me, you are just getting started on a long road to becoming a welder. any time you think it is all that simple, go certify....or start running vertical and overhead beads....catch a piece of hot slag in your shirt and have it fall through your shorts and into your boots

you'll see that monkey teaching you a few new dance steps

A REAL welder can SMAW over head and tig and mig. I have no problem SMAW but I like the speed of mig. Tig is the way to go por criticle welding and looks. I have my mini welder loaded with flux core because I do a lot outside work. How about underwater SMAW,.. huh, anyone know how to do that?!

As I understand their is no cert. for mig, I was kind of waiting for the monkey comment, when compared with the disoplines we have been learning, gas and stick, mig is easier to me. I do not want to be a welder, removing heat is much more fun! less flying molten objects too!

I hate that I understand ALL of that.
It's a good thing my A.D.D. moved me away from that field while I could still see & breathe.

Most old welders aren't as old as they look.

Work safe.

I welding something that was moving once :)

Had a conveyor attachment that was busted.. couldnt shut it down so I worked on the thing every time it came back around.

A 10 min job took about 2 hours.
