I have been trying to wrap my head around this. So the distech controller program lies in the Jace, not the controller. So if comm is lost to Jace is the controller not working now?

In order to launch the wizard from Niagara, a copy of the project needs to be in the files space of the JACE.
you can send a program to the controller and save the project directly on that. Then you connect locally to the controller and upload it so you can see it.
So I have a bunch of distech vav controllers that do not have enough space to keep a program on the controller. If I lose comm to JACE how did it know what to do??
Yeah programming is local to the controller. Not sure what you mean by controller doesn't have enough space? Is this some error you seeing. Think of this scenario. Stand alone VAV box not connected to any com bus. Can it work by itself. Sure it can. Now if you were doing a ECB_VAV you would need to run a local niagara station with a bacnet router to connect, and do the work commissioning work. But once that's removed. Controller is operational without a Jace.
when I try to save the program to the vav it never works because an error comes up saying the vav does not have enough memory. Therefore I don’t have a copy of the program in the controller. Think of going to a new site. If you don’t have the program in your computer your sol. Am I correct?
