Confused Goodman Heat Pumps

See a lot of bad press about all kinds of heat pumps. I'm having one installed and it's down to a TRANE or a GOODMAN. I suspect there all kinds of opinions on both manufacturers so I'm just going to ask if there's some specific, verifiable, reason that I shouldn't go with one or the other. I have a reputable installer with good references. I understand that having the thing properly installed is a must since poor installations seem to be the cause of most problems.

Trane vs Gooman.............hmmmmmmmmm tough call.

One is an industry leader and well known quality, the other the scourge of the industry with virtually no R&D and sells to anyone with some cash.

You asked a question and answered it in your own post. Congratulations!

I hope you are able to find someone who knows how to do a proper HP installation.
