Do you want to relocate?

I'm interested in a hiring a qualified individual from inside/outside the North Central Texas area. Resi/light comm installation and service person. I will help you relocate if neccessary. I'm not in a hurry... I'd like for us to get to know each other first to determine a good fit for both of us. We are a small shop and take care of our customers because they take care of us. You must have pepole skills (be mature). Be technically proficient, (I will ask you questions during a phone interview). I will also answer any questions you may have. Work enviornment includes hot 150 degree plus attics for a couple months out of the year and mild winters. Our prevailing scale is from 10.00 an hour to 20.00 an hour for a top tech person. Some areas we work in are pretty tight so if you cannot fit through a 16"X24" scuttle hole (rare) do not waste our time. We are in a rural area and go into the metroplex occasionally, a civilized redneck (if there is such a thing) would be right at home, or perhaps someone looking to get out of city traffic running service.
PM me, don't call until I can have the time to talk to you. I will send you my email address. We can take it from there.

Is $20.00 an hour all a top notch HVAC technician is getting in TX?!

That's 3rd year apprentice wages.

I wouldn't live in Iowa for $150,000 yearly, even if all I had to do was sit on my behind. People live in Texas because it's the greatest state in the union.

BTW --- People live in Houston because it's the greatest place on earth.

Texas is Great

Texas has a great diversity of climates from cosatal areas to the northern plains the east is a high humidity area and from our area west gets into the desert. The Big Bend country has mountains and the hill country provides horse back riding and motorcycle riding oppourtunities year round.
I interviewed a gentleman from chicago a while back and he was in shock over wages the larger cities pay more here though. He was coming down because his wife was getting a transfer and could not wrap his head around the pay that has no state income tax, housing costs are lower, fuel is lower food is lower and so forth. That is one of the reasons our economy has grown and we have not suffered as much as the northern areas of the country overall. It takes gumption to sieze the benefits and the individualism we enjoy. Thats why I enjoy country living we still wave at each other going down the road and are more open and friendly than most city folks. A lot of northerners pay to live here when they mature we call them snowbirds and retired folks. So yes money is a part of the picture but not the whole story.
