Siemens AZL Modbus?

Has anyone had any luck pulling the modbus points out of the AZL controller connected to a LMV linkageless burner control system?

Do you have the correct point map but the communication is not successful? ...or are you looking for the point map/documentation? (see attachment)

I have the documentation. Tried connecting directly from my serial port to the controller via RS-232 with a flat 8 wire cable that had RJ-45 plugs on the ends and a RJ-45-DB-9 connector using pins 1,3,4 to pins 2,3,5 on the 9 pin then reading the port directly with modscanner, but no luck acquiring data.

All the configurations in the AZL were set up for modbus. Slave address, parity, BAS on, etc. all set the way the documentation suggested, but I could not acquire data.

Are you converting to lon or bacnet? Or just trying to read the modbus points.

My first problem I had with the project was that I found out that it is pretty much written in stone that RS-232 cannot be in a wire run more than 10 feet. Also if you have too much data per pollgroup, you will run into issues with communication errors. And if you convert to RS-485, no matter how short the run is, you will most likely have communication errors if you don't use end resistors.

My project is working now, but I will try my best in the future to avoid modbus if at all possible.
