Louisiana Democrat Mary Landrieu

There's one name that's going in my book to keep an eye on during the HC bill. If she votes yes I will be contributing financially to her next running opponent.

It's all about them and not the country.

That is, sadly, the case with far too many politicians.

I can't recall his exact words, but in a speech by Ted Kennedy during Clintons' second term campaign. He said something to the effect that it was the responsibility of his constituents to re-elect him to the Senate so that he could get busy trying to get Clinton re-elected. (The job of Senator is to campaign for someone else?)

Oh, and this was on her site:

But Landrieu has already succeeded in adding a provision to the 2,074-page Senate version of the health care bill unveiled this week that would provide Louisiana between $100 million and $300 million in Medicaid funding in fiscal 2011.

and from a linked article:
The Congressional Budget Office estimates the cost of Landrieu's FMAP fix for Louisiana at $100 million for 2011, the only year it would likely apply.

But Landrieu's office was not clear on where CBO came up with that score, and Levine said the fix as written would more likely provide Louisiana -- and cost the federal treasury -- between $200 million and $300 million.

While I was at it I sent Lieberman a note too. He's vowed filibuster if the public option is involved.

So what are you saying no one should object. Just keep quiet about all the underhanded goings on by Obama and his Admin and he happy at the screwing we and America is getting. Thank you, thank you very much.

Bingo. She's negotiating for pork; she'll get it and she'll vote for the bill.
