It only takes 9 months to learn all this stuff and buy the tools and pass your state's board licensing board and get insurance and get clients and get.....................everything else.

F the experience part, you just don't need it.
The picture in my avatar is of the Houston Ship Channel and was taken from my backyard. I like to sit outside and slap mosquitos while watching countless supertankers, barges and cargo ships of every shape and size carry all sorts of deadly toxins to and fro. It's really beautiful at times.....just don't eat the three eyed fish....

Actually, I was taught HVAC by a Vatterott...so to speak. The Vatterott machine started out as a credible and worthy trade school right here in St.Louis. Long story short: It became big, was eventually taken over and then purchased by the jokers you know them as today. The ones who teach HVAC, Electical, court reporting, medical reporting, cooking, hair cutting, toe nail clipping, dog walking, pubic hair trimming and whatever else they think people (and the government in many cases) will pay for an "exciting career in_____."

So one of the Vatterott boys took the money, rode out his noncompete and then set up shop again focusing only on HVAC and Electrical. In one of the original Vatterott buildings in St. Ann, Mo.

And that is where I learned the refrigeration cycle.
