Had an electric air handler motor on a 5 year old Trane chilled water system, air handler is on 7th floor commercial facility. When we opened up the old motor we found water in it. No apparent leaks in the system or in any lines. Any idea how the water could have gotten in the motir?

When I asked if it is an outside air handler, I didn't mean where it is physically located. I'm asking if it is drawing in outside air.Originally Posted by Pat512

It is drawing outside air. Sorry, miscommunication on my part. We did just find however that we are not even able to force the damper open on the unit, so possibly we have a place to start looking.
