Im looking for anybody with experience on Rothenberger threaders and how they stand versus Ridgid

It's not what you're capable of doing that defines you, it's what you do on a daily basis.
I have a rigid 700 its 25 years old and will still twist your arm off
The "new" rigid 300 at our shop is 30years old. They last a lifetime

I am gonna try and resurrect this thread because I am wondering Rothenburger 50R vs Ridgid 300 or 300 compact as well right now...
The biggest thing for me is price. (newish business owner)
I have no issue paying 3x as much for the Ridgid 300 compact if it is worth it but right now I am having a hard time seeing that.
I also do like to support a NA company but we are talking a huge price difference here!
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought their tools aren't made in the US anymore.

Ridgid and nothing else

Honestly the Rothenberger 50R is a better machine than the compact Ridgid 300 .

Then, why don't you buy the Harbor Freight threader? cheaper than Rothenberger and probably better.
Which model between the manufacturers? Both RIDGID and Rothenberger make about 6 different pieces of threading equipment each.
Rothenberger plumbing tools, in my experience, are top notch and equal to or better than the RIDGID branded plumbing tools (not to be confused with the RIDGID branded non-plumbing power tools sold at a popular home improvement store).
I purchased a HF clone of the RIDGID 600 power drive. It was junk, money wasted. The dies were garbage. Replacing the HF dies with RIDGID equivalents was not economical, short of finding used ones.
The Rothenberger 1250 is a very well made power drive capable of threading 1.25" pipe. I own one.
