If I wished for a board it would be "the board" but that's just me. I didn't hear anything about If the flame sensor checked out?

You gotta hand it to 'em...a DIYER kept us going for 10 pages and got a few nuggets.

Inquiring about the price of a U board is yet another give-away.

I just hope there aren't freezing women and children involved. 12 days and counting, is it? I would have been abandoned after two and divorced after five...

What makes you think the board is bad? what is the reading of the ignitor. I hope we don't hear about it on the news. Why don't you just call someone who knows what he/she is doing. Get over the fact that this is above you. People's lives are at stake here. There are so many catastrophes which could happen here and you are lining it up.

    Well, that's an interesting dynamic.

If you come here purporting to be a tech in this industry, and you are not by virtue of your understanding, your situation, and everything you post, what does that make you? Does that make you worthy of anyone's respect, or genteel treatment?

A technician would have the following attributes:

    1) experience

    2) a boss to ask questions, or a senior tech at the same company, or even a different company where a friend is employed

    3) the proper tools. I have read NOTHING of any readings you have taken, so I can only go by what I see here in this thread, and that is that NO readings have been taken. I told you that the EGC would not be your problem, yet you jumped at the idea of connecting it, thinking I was wrong. It didn't work. Did you think I was talking through my hat?

You should not be at all surprised when people here call your bluff. So far, you are just a BS artist, and not a very good one. The length of this thread does not indicate that you are a good BS'er, only that we are having a discussion about how poor a BS'er you really are.

With some attitude adjustment and some mentoring, you could become a tech, but that is long road that I doubt you have the desire or fortitude to follow.

Just don't expect roses when you bring us a shovelful.

You really think a watermelon will fix his problem? What kind of watermelon? Does it come with the correct connections or do those need to be added? Please explain, I have never tried that technique.

Or was I confused and the watermelon is for you.

Frankly, I'm quite disappointed in you also You as a tech should know a watermelon put in series with an electrical circuit will not work.

I was riffing off the fact that he was wishing he had a universal board.
It reminded me of the Our Gang comedies, when alfalfa tried wishing for a watermelon.

Just busting your balls. Don't remember much Our Gang. Alfalfa, Spanky, Darla, Buckwheat, think there was a kid named Froggy, the dog with a bullseye on his eye, and He Man Women Haters Club.

(smile) you all are giving me a hard time , but i love it keep up the good work people, i love it once again, i do not know why you all think i do not know what im dealing with,i have worked on plenty of furnaces heating and cooling, if i do not know anything at all i know how to be safe around gas air and fire ,i definitely show the utmost respect for electricity because i guarantee i know electrical more than probably anybody on hvac-talk i have wired commercial and residential applications by myself so there's really nothing you people can say to break my spirits, but keep up the negativity, i have went to school to do this trade and even though i do not know all the ins and outs that you guys know, i do not deserve the negativity but i love it cause it motivates me but keep it up, but yes back to this problem, flame season is brand spankin new all circuit have been ohmed and are good circuit grouds are good all the way back to the panel, i can put any one of you techs in front of this furnace and you will come to the same conclusion as i have i guarantee it cause i know what im doing to the tee, i know the sequence of operation and i am qualified to work on these equipment so rather you like it not im the man for the job but lacking some things to get the job done but keep hating i love it , try your best to break me but i doubt if you can

If you were the man for the job it would be fixed by now. To make this more interesting, maybe the pros on this site could run a pool, picking the day the furnace gets fixed. If your willing to let us know when either you repair it, or break down and call someone qualified., I can get things started in the "Pros Pub" forum.
