Its not so much the contractor I'm worried about here. Can someone tell me what I asked? Can it be done? How? What to look for?
In your other thread you said mid eighties. Didn't you? And it was a GE. Right? I told you, go over to the technical section. We can't/won't give that info in the public sections.

No S*it, This guy obviously think everyone is out to "get him". This guy couldn't pay us enough to put anything in for him.

Yes inspector gadget, you can smoke a compressor by moving wires around. Us crooked hvac techs do it all the time when work is slow (eyeroll). How can you tell? Find the capacitor bandit and you'll have your answer!!

    Work sucks, lets go skydive

This is a seperate issue than the previous thread. I'm not sure where all the hate is coming from. Here is the deal. I've been having a lot of problems with these renters that I would rather not get into. Its gotten kind of testy. To the point where I don't doubt that they would've done something like this to cost me some money. Now can I get some answers or not? If you guys don't want to help thats ok, but I don't get whats not right about my question. If they willfully destroyed my property I can get them out, but I need some sort of proof.

There's no hate here,we're only yanking your chain. To answer your question, there really isn't any way, in the real world, to prove how the compressor went to ground. If you want to take it to a test laboratory, pay a large sum of money, and wait a few weeks, they'll fix you right up. If you really want to get them out, you could have some bogus electrical problem ,that needs to have the complete breaker box removed and replaced .You could stretch that out for weeks. I think I see a plumbing problem too. A copula weeks with no power or water, and your problems should be outta there.
