    Not officially, but....

I have a store with a simmering problem with a freezer rack. Has a bad 175A breaker that won't hold.

Dumba$$ electricians ordered a USED breaker and put that in. Predictable results.

He is returning tonight to install the NEW breaker.

Hopefully, I won't wind up there all night nursing a rack along.

Tough to reverse it, the wires are only as thick as your thumb and cut to length.

    It's a rack of 5 recips, anyway.

Just a pain sitting here on pins and needles waiting for the damn phone to ring.

Yep, just got home from hauling my first load over. It's great to be back in a house. Then I just got a call on a supermarket so it looks like it's going to be a busy weekend. No rest for the best.

At least yours is electrical. I heard I got 20 evaporators that are 3" of ice. Nobody pays any attention to stuff like that till the freezer get's up to 35º and the fans start scrapeing the ice on the evaporator.

    Ahh.

Sounds like the timer is shot.

Piece of cake, if you can FIND one.

Pop those babies into defrost and you'll be find. Show the manager how to manually advance the timer if you can't lay hands on one tonight. That will get them through the weekend.

I bet that's what it is too, or the fact that they never changed the filters after they installed the system. The funny thing is it's not the manager that called me it's another "contractor" that thinks superheat is what comes out of the oven when you open door.

Yep thats the one. The same guy that told me he was going to change all the filters before they stocked the store. All the units I personally changed filters in are running fine. The ones he said he would do and never did are all iced up full of product. And so the story goes.
