    it is the exact same controller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !


    in the first menu after password, mode-occupied/unoccupied/remote start
    next item calibration

    but ofcourse that was for a varicone vane controller..

    i would live on the edge and guess there is NO varicone vane for duct static control?? LOL

    but it is the exact same board

    i have 4 of them in my truck

    just grabbed one and compared it to your avatar

    What about blow-back from the ones with the ball valves vs. the low loss ones - like when you're unscrewing the hi side hose from the Shrader?

    Work is cool - Making more money than I ever have, I haven't put in any OT that I didn't ask for, I'm learning something new every day, and I'm enjoying being a little fish in a big pond.

    Never really been much of a problem for me. Sure, it's a tiny bit more than the "psst" you get from a low-loss, but the fittings are so much more reliable and useful.

    I also like the YJ's with the ball valve built in at the end. Its better than anything else I've used over time.

    I have these. I haven't tried them yet, but they look promising. Has anyone else used them? Are they any good?

    Does anyone know if the Yellow Jacket 25980 9" charging hoses with ball valves are rebuild-able? I have a set and the red hose has a leak at the valve stem. I have searched high and low and cannot find any information or parts to rebuild. Hate to just toss them and drop another $90 on a new set if it is possible to take apart and rebuild.

    UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Yellow Jacket and according to their tech, the YJ 25980 9" hoses with ball valves are not rebuild-able and there are no parts to rebuild. Just thought i'd post this in case someone else out there has a set of these and is wondering if it is possible to rebuild them.

    Ball valves are the way to go. after closing them off, press the fitting hard against the access port, so you make a good seal, then undo the nut to the last thread and pull the fitting off the access port quickly. using this method i believe i lose less then if i use a low-loss (this is much easiear to demonstrate then it is to explain)

    Dont get the adapters that screw into the hoses. they may work, but i guarantee that at some point you will go to use them, they will have loosened up, you will not notice, and you will dump an entire systems charge while trying to figure out what is happening.

    If you do use Low-loss fittings, dont use them on 410a... from everything i heard they dont stand up to the pressures

    NRP low loss are only ones I know of rated for 410a pressures.

    This makes no since but I’m probably dumb then why does ball valves help from refrigerant spray when disconnecting your hoses when all it does is restrict gas from going into your hose when the spray occurs from the service valve

    So basically your saying ball valves are good but also saying you still have to remove the hoses quick because gas will spray out so why when people want a answer to reducing the spray upon disconnecting your hoses ball valves are the way to go.

    Closing the ball valve keeps all the refrigerant that's in the hose from spraying out. I don't think the service valve is where you get much if any spray.

    I am just a student at a local tech school, so my "experience" is non-existent compared to the pros here. However, we do have a plethora of gauges and hoses we use. On my own I have come to the conclusion that the hoses with ball valves are excellent and far out perform the hoses with low loss fittings we have. Just my $0.02
