You're dissappointing me as a fellow Canuck with the electrical tape reference. Duct tape Ray; were Canadians and you MUST own a pair of RED GREEN suspenders.
As far as the "if tape don't fix it, replace it, you're adopting that union attitude perfectly.
Going mtn biking on south mountain tomorrow.....coolest day we've had here in a week supposed to be 39 degC (that's 103 for you Muricans).
We'll see how far a 3 liter camelbak takes me....most worried about the rattlesnakes as I'm used to the black bears and cougars but they're easier to see.

LOL Doug if I had used the duct tape reference people would think I'm some kinda toque-wearing-timmies-drinking-hoser. Plus didn't know if our friends to the south would get the joke. Unless you've been teaching them our secret to getting 50 years out of our cold war holdover military equipment.

I only drink home-brew Maxwell House Coffee.

If there's a bigger racket than $1.50 for a cup of coffee, I want in on it.

It's a racket all right......but he11 if my kids drink that stuff rather than the crap I swilled down....good on 'em. I wasted 1/2 my life and brains in a bar for 15 years....
SOB is it hot here in Scottsdale....went for that mountain bike ride yesterday and a inhaled 4 liters of 'drink' and pee'd out about 100ml in 4 1/2 hours, by watch read 107 degF on the way back from the north route....it's like 55 at home right now.......
The Garmin connect to the ride is http://connect.garmin.com/player/179858431 if anyone wants to play/watch it....

Bret, buddy, how'd you do in the relay...? How 'bout Andy and Karen.....pictures and lies (I mean 'stories' !!)

When I flew a client out to Phoenix back in Spring of '03, the other pilot and I climbed this huge trail up a mountain that looked down on Sky Harbor airport. Man, that was a workout in 100° heat!!!!!

    Yes, and yes.

I have specifically asked for service calls that force me to engage in thinking, rather than pm's that I can do in my sleep. I even had a call this afternoon, between church and choir practice.

This is going to take time, and lots of it.

I called Frank last week. Maybe his boss has room for me in a new environment....

Could you not get into flying again?
It would seem to me to be a way to challenge the mind?
Do you keep you license(s) up?

I have been renewing my flight instructor's ticket every two years, but because of the economy, people are not lining up to learn to fly.

There is a glut of young pilots coming out of Purdue, UND, and Embry-Riddle that are all looking to do ANYTHING, and their parents are willing to pay all their living expenses while they work for next to nothing.

I know my buddy's kid did that hauling freight, then Canada Jet running movie stars back and forth from Vancouver to LA and sleeping on cots at the hanger....until he got on with Air Canada.
Checking prices down here....not unusual to see tradesmen working for $15/hr
