That's low. It must be whisper quiet
    A) Total static at the coil.

    B) At max cooling speed (1200 cfm)

Yes, it's whisper quiet inside and out!

Noise levels are something rarely considered when upgrading HVAC systems. I was surprised how quiet mine is compared to my old one. When my neighbor's unit is running I can't even tell if mine is running or not w/o physically looking.

I'm willing to bet the 3 ton will be more than enough for your house

    Of course, it's November.

With a 0.38" static, I believe that air distribution and new air handler capabilities will minimize any temperature imbalance.
+ FL coastal temperatures are not the extremes seen in central U.S. this summer and in Dallas area many years.

It will be interesting to be informed of any Relative Humidity improvements. ( reference post #14)

    > 95'F would be rare in Most FL locations, except infrequently near Orlando.

Hope you included fresh air and humidity control when there is low/no cooling loads.
This is a complex expensive system but this type of system needs significant cooling load to remove the moisture from the occupants and adequate fresh air ventilation. A small ventilating dehumidifier would make the system complete.
    Keep us posted.

Provide 60-100 cfm of fresh air when occupied to purge indoor pollutants and keep window dry during cold weather. T-stat setup/setback +8 hrs. saves energy
Use +Merv 10 air filter. -Don't forget the "Golden Rule"

Florida Humidity Control. Good enough for some, but typical FL Weather.
I like the steady less <50%RH that a dehumidifier provides.

Humidity is quite pleasant this time of year when there's no cooling load. Plenty of fresh air, too, as I open the atrium sliders to enjoy the outdoors. No need for mechanical add-ons!

More info than you want. I am attaching a pdf of the outdoor dew point affecting the indoor dew point. When the dew point inside below the outside dew point, a/c or the whole house dehumidifier are removing moisture. When the out dew point is below the inside dew point, the fresh air moving through the home is contolling the indoor dew point. The graph is this week which is typical of winter weather in FL.
This gets -+ 80 cfm of fresh air in moderate winds.
FL homes need a dehumidifier if they want dependable <50%RH during mixed weather.

The touchscreen controller for the Greenspeed displays humidity, but I picked up the below item at Home Depot for about half what they sell for on Amazon. It also tracks high/low temp/humidity over time.

Wow. That is really nice. It will be very exciting to see if your bills go down and comfort goes up to or beyond expected levels.

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

While this process is fresh in your mind, any comments or observations about the decision making process, suggestions/advice to homeowners from the ho perspective?

Looks like they did a great job. I'm glad you finally found a good contractor and got a good unit. I'm glad we all could help you through your decision and best of luck in the future.

It appears that you were satisfied with your contractor.

In part because I am interested in installing a similar equipment, I would like to know which contractor you used to install your Carrier system.
