Maybe...... I know you said you pre ordered one but what else do you know about it?
I have a good handle on the basic core functions but tell me more about the wireless please.
If I bought one it would be solely for the wireless function.

you need FPs transmitters and a remote sensor for every conceivable temp measurement.

And i got a Email from Trutech today rescinding pre-orders cause FP sill has no friggin' delivery date.

The best info I read was at Truetechtools and it sounds like you can only use the wireless to "view" two measurements (of any head) and the sman can only use those wireless measurements for target SH calculations ........ manual or automatic (real time) function of the calculation was unclear. It didn't sound like any wireless could be used for any automatic SH or SC calculations at the manifold in place of wired temperature inputs.

your work station will be at the cond unit. Why would you need remote SC and SH at your manifold as you are monitoring the system?

    Why?

A wireless unit that needs wires?

If it turns out to be nothing more than a receiver/display I would probably opt for stand alone wireless or DMM enabled vs built in the manifold.

I think I'll wait for Fluke to release their new wireless equipment before I decide anything.

I've encountered systems with no insulation on the lines under the house......it's easier to get an actual SH measurement at the evap. coil, than it is insulate the lines.

One of the things that actually might sway me towards the sman....

I will be ordering it as soon as it hits..... Having the ability to use the HG3 along with it, will make adjust remote TXV superheats a breeze...... althought Im getting a little annoyed with the delay, I understand the concern to get it right the first time ....

That's the only reason I would want one. Store all the data from the manifold onto the HG3 wirelessly(is that a real word)
then print out the data or store it on the computer.
