This site has provided tons of useful info. Decided to join and say thanks.

I am a Mechanical Engineering student starting in the HVAC/energy engineering field and HVAC-talk.com has been helpful in locating technical information about the various pieces of equipment utilized by the facilities we are performing energy audits on.

The discussion boards and search function have also helped me quickly learn terminology and other information that has allowed me to communicate effectively with our clients and their maintenance contractors about the issues I observed during site inspections.

Thanks and I look forward to learning and contributing.

I've been in the HVAC industry since 1970. Started actually working on the company trucks and delivering equipment to sites. I've worked as a residential technician, went to rooftop and small commercial. Worked as a control installation and technician when controls were pneumatic mechanical electrical. Worked as a Start up, Test, and Balance Technician Supervisor for Mechanical Contractors in Dalls, Texas. Worked as a small company Service Manager. Left that and went to work for Snyder General, now MacQuay. Went from there to Trane and been at Trane for 16 years. Starting to get the hang of this Air Conditioning Stuff, and now realize how little I know..............
