Thanks Buck will it be able to run on Window Moblie 6.1 smartphone. I looks GREAT
The Get-Cool.info website is currently supporting a utility program. There are some hidden pages with video training on the program. If you are interested in seeing a series of "training" videos, you can visit here: http://www.get-cool.info/html/Get-Co...plication.html
The main website has support material for different software and several utility programs not related to this software, therefore it won't answer the questions you ask here (yet). I've got a few more things to finish on the application next week before I even think about changing over the website. I am more concerned about the software actually working correctly than getting the "marketing" part in place yet.
I have been using the software for about a year now, and have used it to test hundreds of AC systems across the U.S. (from CT to CA) from 1 1/2 ton splits to 75 ton rooftops. The software has undergone tremendous changes and improvements as I have used the software and experienced what it is actually like to use it. The software is also in use by a group of contractors in AR in a utility program who with Jim's help have also provided invaluable feedback and suggestions. This is going to be software by contractors for contractors, so I hope everyone who uses the software provides constructive criticsm.
The software currently being developed is for the Palm OS (ver 3.0 and higher).
The software will not work "as-is" on a Pocket PC based phone or hand held, however there is an application adapter made by StyleTap that allows Palm applications to run on a Pocket PC (ie, Mobile 5.0). I am hoping to start coding a native Pocket-PC version later this fall. I have used the current version on an older HP Pocket PC I have and it generally works well, however I don't think it will read through the IR port, nor will the conduit work, so you can't sync the data to a database if you use the StyleTap adapter.
The next step is a desktop application to support field collected data.
We are also looking at possibly porting the application to the Blackberry - as this was requested by a client. I won't know more about this until I start porting the application to the Pocket PC version.
The application doesn't care how you key in information, so you can use a virtual (on screen) keyboard, or built-in keyboard.
Thanks Buck will it be able to run on Window Moblie 6.1 smartphone. I looks GREAT

When I port it over to the Pocket PC it should work no problem. I haven't tried Styletap with Mobile 6.0, so I can't say for sure, but most of the changes between Mobile 5 and 6 are about .NET support and some telephony, so I can't imagine why it wouldn't work.
Just out of curiosity, does your phone have an IR port? It seems like this feature is rapidly becoming extinct on many hand-held devices.

Can you send to excel can you print?
will you need to buy StyleTap to Run on Windows Mobile 6.1 for smartphone.
If you help others then you are a Success
I do not have an export to excel feature, however I can look into it. I am working on an IR printing feature for the typical Thermal Printers. There is also the possibility to print through a Bluetooth printer as well (full page).
For now (until I re-write the program for Windows) - yes, you would need Styletap to run the application on a Mobile 6.0 device..
I did some more testing with the latest version of StyleTap on a Mobile 5 Pocket PC today, and it seems to work very well. The IR read now works with the Pocket PC.
I did notice that the Pocket PC calculated a different capacity with with one of the compressor functions.
Buck

cool software but i could buy a work truck for $3500. thats not something i could see techs having on hand, thats more like a company engineer testing after work has been performed (ie installs) or part of a whole home analysis.

What is your TESP?
Demo and Registration for the software is all set! I will start updating the website to support the software this coming week. I will post a page for those interested in giving it a try first - so you'll be able to download it and install it on a Palm or PocketPC running StyleTap. It is set up for a 7 day, 100 use demo limit. After that you'll have to pay.
We really want this software to work for technicians in the field, so we need to hear back from users. In anticipation of our first relase and update, what refrigerants would you like to see in the application?
We currently have R22, R410a, R407c, R404a, R134a and R12 in the application. The refrigarant PT properties are based on NIST Standards, so the temps may be slightly different than what you'd see on a chart from Dupont, Honeywell, National etc...
So far it look great Looks great. I work with it this week end and send you a report.

This is a temporary web for the software until a new website to support it is up and running.

Thanks Buck. I downloaded the software but haven't loaded it yet. I'd love to own the software but the entire setup is out for a new business (owner). I've been a Palm nut for 10 years and use the Convert, Motor software and Electronics programs weekly. How 'bout a special deal to forum members? : - )
I haven't loaded it Buck. I've been working on training, my LLC, business licenses, insurance and getting tools ready. So I haven't loaded it yet. I'll let you know!

I realize this is sort of an old thread, but maybe there is some new information/input on this.
does anyone have different opinions on this from its origination?
do you think it is still a viable tool or is there something comparable?
since the sink is just a Testo gauge interaction is that worth the purchase of Testo over DigiCool?
I have the 523 and am not that impressed. I have been contemplating the 1250's, now there is a new 550.
thanks for ANY input.
