More impressed with the " oh yes I can" mindset then the job. If its working its working. However I'm gonna come at you from a different angle. Lets look at this from the next tech that gets called to work on it. You rotten no good bottom feeding son of a hacking POS!! Is what I for see his impression being. Just saying. Someone eventually gonna have to try and figure out what the heck you were thinking.

I've been that "next tech". Almost hit my service mgr, at the time, with a hammer for letting his over active imagination loose on some one's HP system. He thought it was brilliant. I thought it was NOT!!

How much more? I think your right on point. I mean with all the labor you would save. He ran 4 of everything.

I am not a fan. But you got the job done. I wish you the best with this down the road.

I have had sytems in million dollar lab spaces not work correct for the stupidest of install reasons.

I must say that i'm skeptical of the whole shared return air wooden box configuration. I think I would have split up ra into zones for a more reliable and efficient system. I do like your condensate layout and will be borrowing for a dual 100k 10ton configuration this week. I'll post pics and take my lumps.

A 7 year old thread comes to life!!!

But the GMS9 isn't a variable speed furnace like OP claimed, it's just a garden variety 1 stage with PSC motor. That's how he's getting by with the twinning or quadding.

If your happy with it that's what counts. Looks pretty typical. Nothing outstanding, electrical could be drastically improved but it's functional I guess.

If you look it could not be simpler all thermostat wires run to seperate cube relays and clearly marked r,y,c, ....... you can check low voltage power to any unit without opening it up. If only others would think of the next guy, this is so simple that a 1st year could figure it out, if they cant they should not be working on equipment!!

This is when appearance isn't everything. I have seen real pretty jobs that didn't work. Nice job.

Nice tin work....but man do I hate those square throat radius heal elbows. Those are the second worst elbows for turbulence and pressure loss. A square/square elbow without vanes is #1.
A standard square elbow with vanes would be 10x better.
