Got a call a while back from one of our large property managers about an old mcquay rps100 roof top unit that had been "struck by lightning", only took out the compressor control/power section. No damage to supply/return fan or damper wiring. I suspect the puddle of water in said compressor section is the real culprit. Just a before and after pic.

Yes i did have a print or at least what was left of it,but its pretty straight foward wiring, from beginning to end about 3 days to complete.carbon tracking was the least of this ones problem its hard to see in the pic but most of the 2 gauge wiring vaporized and copper plated the inside of the door.

Yes, i installed the"dont let it rain in the control cabinet" type, building feeds are all gfi/surge supressed.
