Updating posts

With the introduction of the new software platform, I find it very frustrating that it no longer 'updates' posts instantly. With the old format, as soon as I made a post, it was reflected on the forum page. Now it doesn't show until I log out and log back in. This also prevents me from seeing a post that's subsequent to mine, thus robbing me of the experience of reviewing others who may have had differing opinions or supplied different answers, because I don't know when they've posted either. I liked it much better the old way, with constant updates of the topics. Thanks for listening.

I think your computer may need work. When I post it shows my post immediately. While using tapatalk on the iPhone I see my post immediately.

I have same problem.... so question is... what do i need to do to fix it ???

I think thie issue is that you need to empty your cache and delete your temp files. Not doing so regularly wilk cause the issue you described.

Download C Cleaner, run it, then go into tools to have your browser prompt you to accept cookies from sites you visit. The fewer the cookies you keep, the better.

I believe this is already done on computer automatically... Temp files i'm sure are deleted, and i think cookies are too

That's right.

BUT....

most folks who have not really dived into home computing don't realize that the default setting in most browsers is to accept cookies from every tom, dick, and harry website that they visit. After a while you can have hundreds of tracking cookies on your machine.

INSTEAD..

clear the cookies with the first run of C Cleaner, then go to your username and password sites and re-enter those logins, and then configure the machine to ASK you (prompt you) to accept cookies from any sites you visit. That way, you have only the cookies you want, none of those you do not, and at the same time, you can clear Mb's of space by running C Cleaner. The next time you run it, you set it to leave your cookies alone.

THEN..

defragment your hard drive, and in so doing, speed up your access time.

Finally...

use a utility that scours your registry. Sine I am sticking with Xp for the next few months, I can continue to use registry mechanic. Of course, before you scour the registry, you can move all unwanted programs, and the registry utility will get most of what the uninstall wizard leaves behind.
